WARNING
Only install this mod if you want to increase the challenge of surviving in the wasteland. Limiting purified water generation greatly slows down settlement development.
WARNING
Experienced players know how easy it can be to create massive wealth very quickly just by producing and selling purified water in the wasteland. This mod overhauls the purified water trade by slowing down it’s production.
The following changes have been made to limit purified water production:
- Pumps now only produce 1 water (vs 3 water by default)
- v2 - Drinking from pumps will now produce slightly dirty water, so player will take a small amount of radiation damage.
- V2 - Filling water bottles from a pump will now produce dirty water.
- Water purifier now requires perk Science 1
- Large Water purifier now requires perk Science 2
- Small-Mid-Large generator are no longer available (where do you get all the fuel to run generators anyway?) The player can use Wind Mills or fusion reactors for power.
- V3/4 - Water produced from pumps or purifiers will yield both purified water and dirty water. Generally more purified water will be produced than dirty water. The amount of dirty/purified water can vary significantly.
The wasteland is now a dryer place……

Note: I’ll convert all PC mods to console mods as time/console is available. Bethesda has made it hard on mod makers as we have to post separately for each platform. The same mod works but just has to reposted to the web separately…big time waste!
