Welcome to Capped Out.
This is part of the “Made for Fusion” series of mods, that are designed to be modular so you can install them on their own or all be combined together to eventually form a complete overhaul of the games mechanics and textures without straying too far from the vanilla ethos.
The current series line up:
Streamlined Weapons - A full rebalance of the games weapons and attachments,
Targeted Textures - A select improvement of texture issues in the vanilla game,
Capped Out - A small overhaul of the games levelled lists,
Perennial Power Armor - Rebalancing of vanilla power armor mechanics and levelled lists,
Perk Up - Rehaul and fixes for various vanilla perks.
In Vanilla, the game tends to be overly generous with items that are considered precious or rare such as stimpacks and fusion cores. As well as not providing a logical approach to how these items could have got to where they are, IE pipe weapons and jet in sealed pre war safes.
This mod attempts to correct this by:
Making pre war containers only contain pre war items.
Thinning out the number of stimpacks that can spawn in one container.
Thinning out bobby pins across all lists.
Dramatically decreasing the spawn rate of Fusion cores in ammo containers and vendor inventory’s.
Rebalancing other ammo, rare types are rarer and common types more plentiful.
Integrating DLC weapons, ammo and armour into the main game at appropriate levels for their power.
Lots of other small tweaks where needed!
The aim of this mod is to not feel like you are being constrained by a sense of “realism” that some more hardcore mods tend to impose. There is a logic to how everything works now but the primary goal is still to have fun. Finding loot should be fun! I don’t want it to be an annoyance or a block to progression.
This mod does not touch placed items in the world or power armour lists to maintain compatibility.
