Known collectively as the Anti-Air Launcher, it is a line of complex modular weapon-system that purpose-built to answer aerial threats.
Built as a Rocket Launcher firing the inexpensive autocannon-shells fitted with stabilizing fins and a rocket-motor; it is employed as the Poor-Man’s Flak that saturates a target with explosives, making it useful against low-flying aircrafts, to infantry, and to lightly-armored vehicles, whose flexibility allowed it to retain relevance.
Purpose-built and reserved for the farthest targets whether by air, by land, or by sea, it can fire the heavier and more-powerful, high-velocity missiles able to reliably intercept planes from high-altitude, or tanks from a great distance.
With further advancements to technology, it also became a platform to develop ballistic-missiles designed for large-areas with it’s top-attack trajectory typically circumventing heavy frontal armor, that also made it a reliable way to deliver massive warheads safely.
