Porter Notes - the reduced textures version for yall load order space
to yall saying “the gun dont work” “it wont let me craft it” please make sure you have the sniper perk and marksmen perk.
Fallout doesnt display all of the required perks to craft the weapon.

Barrett M82A1
After watching a friend recently stream Fallout NV and using a Barrett mod half the play
through, I realized I had been missing one from my game. So the fellas and I began cobbling one together based off the original implementation…yeah that word works?…from Combined Arms but as a fresh standalone mod with updated/new balances, materials, textures, camos, meshes and some nice personal touches in as small a package as possible.
(I know a lot of Barrett-ish firearms have been released lately, just so it’s stated it’s purely coincidental, use whatever one you like best.)
Notes
- I feel like I really have to stress this: This is a completely standalone mod and has no requirements.
- Uses vanilla .50 Cal, craftable at everyone’s favorite Chemstation, and balanced to vanilla fallout standards (I did my best but if you disagree feel free to argue with Cy).
- It’s small, there really isn’t a lot you can do with the M82 irl, but I tried to make it unique while kinda sticking to personal experience and keeping some of the original ideas from NovaFinch‘s M82 in Combinded Arms; since that’s where the inspiration came from.
- This was made with OldGen in mind but should work with NextGen Update as well. I watched a friend stream a completely vanilla, updated NextGen game with just this mod and it worked perfectly fine. If I hear of any issues tho, I will upload a loose version of it.
- Why are comments/bug reports disabled? I’m pretty reclusive, and I don’t care if anything I do doesn’t fit into your lore or the pictures upset you, etc. Buuut if you actually need anything, contact one of us on discord. We don’t bite that hard…weelll maybe Heroic might.
- Fwiw, if you want to donate anything, instead consider just dropping me a kind message somewhere and giving to another fellow modder you enjoy who needs it.
