I just want to swap my pronouns, where can I get a bottle?
–For convenience, the first bottle is available in the Hawthornes’ house in Sanctuary, on the desk next to the locked safe and terminal.
Why doesn’t Codsworth address me anymore?
Because the feature where he addresses you by name is hacked in and can’t be touched without using a F4SE plugin. For Xbox this feature was disabled with empty sound files so that he doesn’t misgender you.
Is this compatible with…
–If you’re asking, the answer is probably no. That said, if it’s incompatible with something, you’ll just wind up with characters misgendering the player. The author deliberately chose to make this mod a master file to help ensure it will lose conflicts, because they feel it is better for the player to be occasionally misgendered than for adjusted dialogue to break a quest added or edited by another mod.
Can you add gender neutral pronouns?
–It’s possible to do, but beyond the author’s ability to support. That would involve thousands of new lines of dialogue, which is far more than they would be able to handle for this mod. If someone else wants to make an addon, feel free.
Can you add the ability for npcs to sometimes misgender me?
–It’s possible to do but somewhat complex to implement and extremely time consuming to test. As with the question about gender neutral pronouns, if someone else wants to do it, there’s no need to ask for permission.
Can you make the drink affect NPCs who drink it?
–It’s possible to do but means thousands of lines of dialogue that would need to be remade. If someone else wants to take that on, then go ahead and do so.
Where can I get the recipe for Gender Fluid?
–It’s in a little unmarked basement somewhere in Cambridge. If you need a marker, you can pick up a hint at a prewar company that specialized in psychoactive chemicals.
Why does the recipe use the ingredients it uses?
–Because Fallout 4 is silly about recipes. The author chose to have beer as the base, to be a “potion of courage.” They added nuclear material because Fallout 4 uses it the same way Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles uses “mutagen” to explain anything that doesn’t make sense, like NPCs magically knowing and respecting your pronouns. The brain fungus is in the recipe because it’s also in the recipe for mentats, and because brain stuff. And the bubblegum is in there because it needed something sweet.
