Built from the Italian SITES Spectre M4 SMG, the Falcon-Arms MP4 Special-Operations Adaptive-Personal-Weapon (APW), still typically called “Spectre”, is a mechanically-versatile and compact pre-war weapon adapted for the common military 10mm round. Famed for its gas-mediated blowback system that uses the portion of the expanding-gases to tailor it’s performance as the user sees fit; either to reduce the rate-of-fire by slowing down the bolt through a gas-delayed blowback, or to increase it’s fire-rate to blistering speeds comparable to miniguns with it’s gas-assisted bolt-return as if half of a Gast-Gun.
Not affordable by common thugs, or by armies seeking to arm soldiers by the numbers, but it was adopted by the US government in small numbers for domestic use, by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Secret Service, and at times certain Police Departments around the country. But ever so often it can be seen at the hands of civilians, security firms, and paramilitary organizations.
