The rate at which Luck affects how quickly your critical bar fills has heavy diminishing returns. There are also several perks that can just instantly fill your critical bar(s). This means that stacking tons of Luck isn’t terribly valuable. As part of my goal to make every SPECIAL score have a scaling perk, this changes that.
Now, Better Criticals will scale with your luck, giving 6% bonus critical damage per Luck, per rank. This is weaker at the 6 Luck requirement of the perk (36% per rank, rather than 50%), but nearly the same at 8 Luck. Anything higher and it starts being stronger. This gives you a reason to increase Luck higher, which normally just doesn’t do much for you beyond perk qualifications.
