Ever get tired of looking at the old, rusted pipe weapons? This mod adds new weapon skins for pipe weapons (pipe gun, pipe bolt-action, pipe revolver, and the Syringer). They include 5 metal replacers (4 for the pipe revolver), and 17 wood replacers (for just the pipe gun and pipe bolt-action). They’re purely aesthetic, provide no stat boosts, and cost nothing to make/replace. Pipe guns will spawn with random skins equipped, except for the Syringer, since it isn’t used by enemies and is pretty rare as is. The Syringer also has two versions of each skin, one keeps the original tank and the other changes the tank along with the rest of the weapon.
Because of Sony’s restrictions and limited resources, how and what I was able to replace the textures with was limited. The method I used worked well for a wide variety of skins that were easy to customize, but it did leave some sections of the pipe guns unable to be changed, or some parts that I left unchanged because of how it looked with the texture replaced. Overall though I think the ones I chose work quite well.
Known issues: sometimes the wood furnishing replacers won’t have the right color (showing either white or grey), and sometimes either of the glow sights won’t glow. This seems to just be an issue with changing textures in general, but luckily they can both be fixed by changing what receiver you’re using. And it seems to only happen when first spawned and only needs the receiver changed once to function properly.
This mod is incompatible with WFO, I have another version that works with it though, so if you use that mod as well you’ll want to grab the other version. Only download one file.
