This tweak reduces the density of game engine generated grass, shrubs, bricks and other misc. rubble that is not interactive and serves no other purpose but to be filler. The density has been reduced by 45%-75% for the Vanilla game, Far Harbour, and Nuka World.
This mod does not do anything with precombined meshes or previs. These are record edits to the density of grass-based objects which happen to include the kelp in the sea, various rubble objects like bricks, stones, grass, shrubs, and other misc. clutter.
There are other mods just like this on Nexus but they either took away too much-making everything feel too barren for my tastes and/or has no options in regards to the DLCs. The entire reason I made this was to actually use it with a brilliant little mod called No Ugly Plants and More by amber1019.
This mod works well on its own and it may help slightly with FPS and stutter since the game engine doesn’t have to generate as many objects into the world space like vanilla but I recommend using it with the above mod for the best results and improved performance/aesthetics.
This mod will very likely be incompatible with mods like better clutter, Insignificant object remover, or anything that touches the density settings for the grass entry in the main ESM files of Fallout 4. It will be fine with practically everything else.
Big thanks to tekmage for making this mod and allowing it to be ported to console!
