== Original Description ==
Have you ever found yourself escaping the elements, trying to take cover under a nearby bus stop, only for the game to not recognize that you had a roof over your head? A missing Fake Interior is to blame for this immersion-breaking moment.
To fix it, I decided to manually place new Fake Interiors everywhere they should have been.
What is a fake interior?
It’s a type of Acoustic Space, a special object Bethesda uses to define the audio properties of a cell in the game, such as what ambient sound to play or if there should be reverb inside.
Fake interiors are tailored specifically to be used for buildings on the world map (exterior cell) to make the sound inside them more realistic and to stop outside effects like weather from affecting the player.
== Compatibility ==
Almost everything.
This mod mostly adds new objects to the game and only touches vanilla records when necessary, so there shouldn’t be any worry about overwriting anything.
To be extra safe, you can put it high up in your load order.
I’m also very careful with settlements, adding Fake Interiors only to unsrcappable objects.
On that note, any mod that allows for the scrapping of more buildings, like Scrap Everything, is not recommended; fake interiors stay behind (vanilla ones included) after scrapping. Scrap Everything is a messy mod anyway that only contributes to the game being less stable.
Instead, I recommend using Aurelianis Rebuild Collection. I’m using it, and I’ll make sure it stays compatible.
