A simple and effective mod that displays “Someone_Killed_Someone” or “Someone Was Killed - By Someone” with as little script as possible. I wanted to create a Kill Feed mod without any requirements, for console users.
You can craft a “Kill Feed - Alt Message Type” holotape in the chemistry station, utility category. While this holotape is in your inventory, “Someone Killed Someone” is converted to “Someone Was Killed - By Someone”.
If Killer = None, “Someone_Died”, and if Victim = Robot/Synth/Vertibird/Turret, displays “_Destroyed” instead of “_Killed/_Died”. Triggered by kill events by all NPCs, not just players.
Unlike the original mod, it does not include “Show weapon name”, and kills by the player’s companions are treated as player kills. This is a tradeoff for being standalone and there is currently no way to fix it.
You can install/uninstall it any time and it’s 100% compatible with all mods.
