This MOD adds “sitting on a chair” to the health restore condition of vanilla food and drink.
In my personal long Fallout 4 playthrough, I was frustrated by the lack of distinction between food and Stimpak roles.
This mod only changes the condition of health restoration of food and drink. Other buffs work even when not sitting. (For example, grilled radstag carry weight buffs.)
You’ll have to sit in a chair and wait a dozen seconds to get health restoration from food and drink. Yes, it’s still recommended to sit down to eat even in a desolate world 200 years from now!
Unlike before, you will no longer be able to restore health with food and drink during battle. That’s why stimpacks are important.
Again, it doesn’t mean you can’t eat during combat. Buffs other than health restoration now apply correctly in combat.
It also doesn’t interfere with hunger or thirst game systems in survival mode. Eating while standing doesn’t restore health, but it cures hunger just like vanilla.
Exclusions
Medicines, blood packs, non-restore buff consumables, etc…
What happens if you get up from your chair during restoration? You will be able to see the health restoration being aborted the moment you stand up. But don’t worry! If you still have buff time left, sitting down again will restart the restore. There are places to sit all over the Commonwealth. If you look for a field or dungeon, you will usually find a chair. Take down the raiders in the Back Street Apparel and take a seat on the rooftop to relax. Enjoy dinner to heal your injured physical strength while watching the night view of Boston with the Charles River. It will be a nice day!
Future plans
I’m about to put out a patch for some mods I’m using right now. I may make a patch if there are any other requests.
Finally, In creating this mod, we refer to and incorporate fixes such as UFO4P and Minor fixes. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to these authors.
