Does anyone else ever get frustrated at how weapons, armor, junk, and other items organize themselves by only alphabetical order? It makes things so frustrating to find in containers or your Pip-Boy… especially when you start to collect dozens of keys, notes, holotapes, and the like. Well, you can kiss these frustrations goodbye, because the amazing minds at Binford Tools proudly unveils the new Binford 6100 Inventory Organizer!! This new patch file should make all items in your inventory much easier to find and sort through now, and remember… if it doesn’t say Binford on it, somebody else probably made it.
Hehe… this was my attempt to fix and sort all of the items in the base game, plus all of the DLC that comes with it. To start, all of the game’s keys and password notes are sorted with the tilde (~) before their names, so they’ll appear at the very bottom of the MISC category and won’t interfere with all the other items you pick up in the game.
All notes in the game begin with “Note - “ so they’re sorted together. I tried to give a brief explanation of what was in the generic named ones that were just called “Note” so they’d have some individuality. I did the same with all Magazines, Holotapes, Pictures, Flyers, and other readable objects.
On all junk items, food, drink, armor, clothing, grenades, and mines… I tried to name them by their proper nouns first, then put their adjective after the name. For example… Glass Bowl and Plastic Bowl now show up as Bowl - Glass and Bowl - Plastic.
The only other major adjustment I made was removing the Junk Item tags from all Pre-War items, CIT items, Jamaica Plain Treasures, money, cigars and cigarettes, etc. I hate when I accidentally scrap these objects, plus they’re usually worth a lot more caps at vendors when you selll them!
One last little thing I found while browsing the game files… there were multiple colors for the construction hard hats! I made a little cache of them in the trailer outside of Vault 111 if you wanted to collect them.
