Ever want to change your player name mid game? Find out that someone else in the Commonwealth has your name as well and wanted to change it? Goofed on the name when exiting vault111?
Well now you can with this holotape. You’ll find the holotape sitting on the Red Rocket workbench just outside of Sanctuary, no worries this does not edit the cell, it adds a persistant item instead to avoid conflicts with other mods that may modify the Red Rocket Gas Station.
Once you have the holotape, just play it, read the instructions, and exit your pipboy. After exiting your pipboy your character will say “Sweet”, and the name change screen will appear.
If the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. point count is showing a Negative number, do not change your special points. Edit your characters name then accept the changes. Your characters name is now changed, to make the change stay, simply save your game.
Hope this helps all those people who were asking for a way to change their player name on the PS4, I wanted this to change one characters name as I had misspelled it and it meant something totally different then what was intended. So I fiddled n’ fiddled until i made it happen.
You can use the holotape mutliple times on the same character, or just toss it away in some forgotten corner after your done with it.
This mod requires no DLC to function.
