Though the war is long over, the scars left behind run deep, and may yet serve a new purpose in coming trouble. . .
Explore a massive network of trenches dug in a seemingly-thriving landscape, from farmland to forest. The land by now has healed itself, but the defences of old remain in the state they were left in, ghosts of the past. Both of the maps added are massive, certainly bigger than any of my other previous work. To access these areas, look for the hatch behind your old house in Sanctuary, and backtrack through them to return to the Commonwealth. There are no NPC's, but in case you can't tell by the description, I would really like to add some. If you know how to do NPC scripting and customisation, please let me know so I can continue to improve these maps.
The two maps are:
Riverside Trenchtown - Old fortified trenches dug amidst thriving cropland, with trees, grass, and flowers all showing signs of healing, while wrecked houses, destroyed tanks, far-reaching tunnels, and a massive fire consuming a railway behind the lines serve as a reminder of this place's grim past. . .
Forest Defences - Disembark from a train into the shaded forest, filled not only with rudimentary trenches, but also various positions and supply caches hidden among the trees. The orange leaves may beckon growth to come, but the defences present hint at a brutal conflict lost to history. . .
