Tired of infinitely repeating quests? Want to make sure you don’t waste your time on them by accident? This mod is for you. These quests are called radiant quests and a lot of them suck. This mod simply marks them by putting [R] before their names in your quest log and moves them to the miscellaneous section. It also marks timed radiant quest objectives with [T] and radiant settlement establishment quests with [S].
Important:
This file marks quests for the Far Harbor DLC only. If you have all of the DLC you can find a complete version here on Bethesda.net that marks quests for all of the DLC as well as the main game. You can also find individual files I uploaded that mark quests for the other DLC individually as well as a file that marks quests in the main game.
I also have this mod available on the Nexus.
What quests are marked?
The goal of this mod is to single out quests that are unimportant time wasters instead of every single radiant quest by Bethesda’s definition since some radiant quests are truly important, do eventually end, and do provide interesting rewards. To see a full list of marked quests go here: 1drv.ms
Mod Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with all mods but except for ones that change the names of quests.
FAQ
Q: Why did you make this?
A: In my opinion one of three major problems I had with Fallout 4 was the addition of pointless repeating quests. It’s bearable in MMOs but is a disaster in Fallout. I could have made a mod to remove them completely but I didn’t want to risk breaking the game or breaking immersion. With the quests being marked as radiant quests, the player can more easily avoid wasting time on them. Plus this way maximum compatibility with other mods is achieved.
Q: There are other mods that do this. Why should I get yours?
A: Yes I know there are other mods on the nexus that do this however this is the only one updated to use the G.E.C.K. instead of older modding methods and that supports all DLC.
Q: Will this mark radiant quests added by mods?
A: Nope but I might make plugins for mods in the future.
