Pip-Boy Paint Jobs - Disturbed Visions Pack by ANDREWCX
Straight from the mind of Pickman comes this collection of disturbing Pip-Boy Paint Jobs.
WHAT THIS MOD DOES:
This mod adds 13 new Pip-Boy Paint Job patterns based on the artwork displayed in the Pickman Gallery.
Paint Jobs are applied using the system established by Bethesda in patch 1.10 (the Creation Club patch) - simply go to any workbench and you’ll be able to select any of the Paint Jobs in any of your Club Freedom mods together with any purchased from the Creation Club store (only 1 may be used at a time).
This mod uses the new .esl ‘light’ file architecture introduced by Bethesda in patch 1.10.
Q&A:
Q: How does this differ from the Creation Club?
A: This mod is designed using the same design philosophy (‘it just works, plug & play’) as Creation Club and uses the same keywords & file types established by Creation Club for the Pipboy skins sold through that feature. It is not official Creation Club content though so is counted as a mod for all purposes including Console mod caps, achievements/trophies being disabled, and not being able to be provided to PS4 because of the external assets used to enable the features of the mod.
Q: This mod keeps defaulting to the top (or near the top) of my mod list. How can I fix this?
A: The new .esl Light Master files are automatically placed in this location by the game engine. This is the correct place for them to be located. Nothing in this mod can conflict with, or be conflicted by, any other mod so load order isn’t a concern in relation to this mod.
Q: I’ve installed the mod but can’t get it to work. What’s wrong?
A: Mods that edit the pipboy and have not been updated to the new Bethesda 1.10 architecture will block access to the features of this mod as well as official Creation Club skins. You will need to check all mods in your load order (including those that make no mention of the pipboy) in order to find which mod is out of date and then contact that author to ask them to update to the new 1.10 architecture.
Q: I’ve already been using your color swaps in UCO - is there any point in also installing this mod?
A: No, All skins in this mod are already available via UCO and offer more customization (as the UCO framework allows you to mix two different colors/patterns while the CC based on used for this mod only allows a single color/pattern to be used). This mod is designed for people who want the simpler system offered by CC and who are not using UCO.
Q: Can you make this available on PS4?
A: Unfortunately no, this mod relies on assets that Sony does not allow in free community created mods on PS4. The PS4 version of my UCO mod does offer a limited range of color swaps for pipboys as an alternative.
Q: What is “Club Freedom”
A: Club Freedom is a term i’ve made up to signify community made free mods that are designed to the same parameters as those used in Creation Club content sold by Bethesda. This isn’t identical content in terms of the actual items provided but rather they use the same file types, game integration etc and conform to the philosophy of that content that they can be installed without regard to load order or mod interactions.
- Compatible with Fallout 4 NextGen update.
