The world is not dying. The world is dead. Load it AFTER the World is Dying or use as a stand-alone. This mod contains the following features:
overhaul of containers. Once looted, the container will not respawn. Containers will be ammo box, first aid box, dufflebags, office desks, etc. I did not change vendor chests, workbenches, etc. I changed the dead raider corpses to not respawn too, so when you loot them, they will disappear (the famous is the one located outside sancturary). What about items that appear in the world, for example desk fan? Yes, i can set them to not respawn, but i have to manually do this for ALL the desk fans spawned in the world (more than 400), so it´s impossible to do it, unless i spend months and months only to do it. That’s why the change #2 exists, so you won’t be able to pick up everything when they respawn.
complet overhaul of carry weight system. Carry weight now is a junction of weight + size + fragility of the item. For example, a broom, yes, a broom has 10 CW! A Life Preserve has 7 CW. A MiniNuke Hemisphere Core has now 8 instead of 0. Why? Because of its size. The mininuke has nuclear material, so it requires caution. And the real question is not “why 10/7”, but “why carry a broom/Life Preserver? Do you really need it?”. A lot of items now have less weight than vanilla. The real “secret” of this changes is make you think and choose carefully what to carry. Perks, companions, backpack mods, etc are now 10x more important. Shipments and supply lines can help you a lot.
Metal, raider, leather, synth and combat armors now only weight half of vanilla value. Higher chance of finding items in containers. You will recieve a bonus when selling items (about 50% more in comparison with “The World is Dying”. For example, an item that you can sell for 20 caps on TWID; now you can sell for 30).
