This is the very first mod I’ve ever made and I expect it to have issues, please if you encounter any post them here and I’ll try to fix them in the timeliest manner I can. There is a standalone version for all the DLC here: bethesda.net
For a Changelist of everything in here: docs.google.com
What this does is somewhat simple. It changes the Combat AI of Companions (They’ll actually hit their target) and gives them different perks corresponding to their lore. They’ve also been given Infinite Ammo, Unbreakable PA and suffer no fall damage. (I can’t stop them from falling off everything, but I can sure try to fix the outcome of it.)
For instance, Danse is a BOS Paladin so he’s trained in all forms of Combat. he has Rifleman and Commando 5, but Gunslinger, Heavy Gunner, Big Leagues and Iron Fist of lesser ranks. Same for X6-88.
Then you have Piper, she’s grown up in the Wasteland but she’s a city girl. She’s not incompetent, she can handle herself (Gunslinger 3) but she’s more gifted in stealth than firearms.
(Curie doesn’t have any combat related perks, just medical science stuff.)
I’ve also given each companions default clothing a boost, a pretty significant one too.
From Preston’s Duster to X6-88’s Uniform, they’ve all got a boost matching a MK. 5 Ballistic Weave. (Excluding Deacon and Curie. Deacon has so many outfit swaps I figure if you want him to be armored, just armor him yourself. Sorry. Curie just starts with basic clothes so armor her however you wish.)
(Since X6-88 uses a Courser Uniform I either had to make all Coursers stronger or duplicate a Courser Uniform and give it to X6, I opted for the former. I always felt Coursers were underwhelming so maybe this’ll make them a bit tougher. I will go back and give X6 a unique outfit if requested.)
As written above, I made each companion’s Power Armor Unbreakable and given them Infinite Ammo. (This SHOULD work, if it doesn’t just tell me I’ll try to fix it.)
Like I said earlier, this will likely have bugs, if you encounter them please tell me and I’ll try my best to fix them. Any feedback whatsoever is appreciated.
