This isn’t just a cosmetic problem - you can’t talk with settlement traders and doctors normally.
This happens for me after all the latest Bethesda patches are installed. The Unofficial Patch (20 February 2017) is installed as well.
I didn’t find any mod that fixes this problem except the console solutions from a steam user Turn_on_a_Dime, that’s why I had to make this mod.
With this mod installed every settler with thank you a SINGLE time after the attack and won’t annoy you again.
Compatibility:
The mod only changes a scene from the WorkshopParent utility quest. I don’t see any conflicts so far. But I do recommend loading it before all the other settlement mods just in case. Personally, I load it before the Unofficial Patch.
